Website of the day – I can hear the bells

With all the mushy, messy wedding websites out there, it’s nice to find a few that actually give helpful advice in an organised layout and without the cheese web designers think you’ll appreciate.  Just because I’m a bride to be, does not mean I need to see rings and doves and doves with rings or hearts and flowers everywhere. I want sleek. I want style. And I want real advice.

The Knot does a great job at providing tips, checklists and ideas from the moment your man slips the ring on your finger to beyond the wedding into the actual marriage. In fact, I was so impressed with their website, I bought their Wedding Checklist book. A handy pocketbook that quickly guides you through all you need to think of in preparation for the big day. I also like Brides for their fashion coverage, which is the best I’ve found so far.

Other bridal sites have left me underwhelmed, flustered or simply repulsed. My groom to be and I have vowed not to let the planning stress us. A wedding is supposed to be a happy event, not cause for anxiety after all. And so far, The Knot does the trick like no other.

Do you know of any other great wedding sites?

So exciting!!! But I’m gonna need more detailed and more frequent updates than this about wedding plans :)

Hmm, yeah, we should probably get cracking on that. We have a date though. And a country. Now everything else. ;)
